I also enjoy flying World War II era airplanes.

Of course it is not possible to do so unless you are made out of money ;-) So I do the next best thing, fly them on a computer!

Warbirds 2014 is an excellent game

Check them out online and come fly with me and others.

One of the most favorite parts of this game to me is the availability of a "Mission Editor". This great tool allows one to create missions and fly against AI aircraft. It is also a great planning tool for online missions. One aspect of this I dont like is that the in game grid is missing in the editor. So I have made DTF files (another great feature that lets you draw simple things on the map) to make the grid for all the currently available maps.

You can find them all HERE

Copy one or all of the files found there into your warbirds folder. Once you have them you can load up the mission editor, choose your map and then type the command ".dotfile malta_grid.dtf"  to bring up the grid as shown below, of course choose the name of the appropriate map correctly!
